Why 8.7V instead of 9V ? - The nominal voltage of a Li-ion battery is 3.7V, and the full-charged voltage is 4.2V - better known as the charge cut-off voltage. By connecting two groups of 3.8V High-Energy-Density lithium-polymer cells in series, we fabricated CZVV Lithium-ion K007 with an EnergyCLSave frame. Under ideal conditions, a fully charged 9-volt battery will maintain a high voltage of about 8.7V(4.35V*2) - the highest voltage among all brands' Lithium-ion 9V batteries can achieve so far.
